To really understand Enolgas Bonomi, you have to be aware of the special entrepreneurial spirit of the people who have lived in the northern part of Italy between the valleys of Brescia for centuries.

In 1901 Mr. Tobia Bonomi, along with his brothers, with a loan of L.1000 (Lira) granted by Don Roveglia, established the original Bonomi Brothers with their first workshop located in Lumezzane. This workshop was purposely positioned close to the mountains on the Gobbia stream to take advantage of the water power that a wheel was generating electricity power from to manufacture brass PVF.

By working long hours and hard days for many years, the Bonomi Brothers created a stable company that grew rapidly. In 1923 the company had 30 employees. Soon after, Mr. Tobia Bonomi rose with his entrepreneurial spirit and carried the company further with his sons and without the help from his brothers.

At fifty years old, he expanded the company to 60 employees in 1940. At this time the beginning of the Second World War was beginning and required several key people at the company to join the army. This tremendously reduced the work force to only 10 people.

The Grandfather, Mr. Tobia Bonomi, continued working and running the company alongside his son Vittorio Bonomi, while the rest of Tobia’s sons joined the army.

After the Second World War in 1945 Mr. Tobia retired and let his sons run the company. And in 1952 one of Tobia’s son’s, Vittorio, had his sons join the company.

Enolgas Bonomi originates in 1960 from the factory started in 1958 by Vittorio, Tobia's eldest son. In 1964 nine of Vittorio's sons chose the present site of the factory in Concesio, just outside Brescia.

In 1970 Enolgas Bonomi began to specialize in the highest quality of manufactured goods for the food industry, gas industry, plumbing industry, etc…, by starting to manufacture ball valves for water, gas, wine and hydrocarbons in general.

In 2001 Enolgas Bonomi in a world developing market had established its branch offices in Germany and Brasil called BONGAS.

In 2008 Enolgas Bonomi established ENOLGAS USA as the United States branch working as an embassy for Enolgas Bonomi in the North American market.

Today, Enolgas is a major manufacturer of high quality valves, having gained both a national and world-wide reputation for quality.

Production follows a complete cycle from design to assembly and test, under constant supervision. The components, formed from brass bar or forgings, are machined automatically before being assembled into the finished products.

Quality Assurance selects and continually reviews all of the subcontractors and suppliers, as well as checking all incoming materials physically, dimensionally and functionally. Finally, before packing, all products undergo tightness and functional tests.

The Quality Assurance department is staffed by highly qualified personnel who not only check the quality of the product, but also promote methods and techniques at achieving Total Quality Assurance. It is thanks to this commitment that Enolgas was awarded ISO 9001 by I.C.I.M. (The Institute of Industrial Certification for the Mechanical Industry) since 1991.

The aim of the Company is to guarantee the quality content of every production, process and product, beginning with personnel selection.

People play a primary role in the philosophy of Enolgas. The Company integrates at all levels professional skills and experiences to reach the intended goals. Human resources are continuously enhanced in search for new products and better service to the customers, whilst a most advanced testing and research laboratory works every day to solve the demands of the end users.

Research allows the Company to keep in constant and close contact with the markets and places Enolgas firmly in the forefront of world valve manufacturers. Every year Enolgas introduces new products which soon become a reference point for the whole market, because of the original ideas and high technology content of the products.

Thanks to this experience and specialization, Enolgas nowadays offer a comprehensive range of valves in brass, stainless steel and carbon steel for both building and industrial use, which are suitable for all types of gases, water, oils and fuels. Such a vast range enables the company to provide a complete service to its customers, who can rely on a single reliable supplier for their needs.

Enolgas works round the clock servicing the most important merchants and well-known industrial gro-ups. A network of agents covers Italy, whilst over half of the production is exported all over the world.

Enolgas Bonomi carries on the tradition handed on over many generations of entrepreneurs with the innovative spirit and industry typical of the businesses deeply rooted in Northern Italy.
